Duck Tape Product Presentations........
Our Rating Scale

Check out our NEWEST PAGE!!

Be sure to check out our newest page "Student Interviews". Students are putting their creative juices into action with Duck tape art. Working in teams of four, they are devising a business plan that they hope will be successful in raising enough money to build a well. Each team was asked to develop a catchy name for their product and a survey to determine the best price that would deliver the most profit. They did an excellent job! Now we are in the process of compiling the votes and determining what products will make the cut. Check out some of the creative designs below.

Creating Duct Tape Products

Boy, duct tape is challenging to work with, but LOTS of FUN!!! Here we are in the process of coming up with some items we think people might want to purchase to support our Water Project.

Brainstorming Fundraiser Ideas

Brainstorming possible duct tape product ideas to help raise money for our friends who need clean water.

Designing A Water Filter

This is a picture of a water filter a team of four students in first through fourth grade created. They spent three weeks designing, planning, and then building a filter that would purify water using only three materials. As you can see the water is quite muddy that is in the cup. This was a first attempt. :) Each week they would go over the design they had initially created and make adjustments. This filter consisted of rocks, sand, and a coffee filter.

Our Goal

Our goal with the water project is to build a well in Kenya. We met a nice man named James from Kenya. He told us about their water and how it’s not clean. Our goal is to sell duct tape products such as wallets, and more things. We are raising money to build a well in Kenya.Every dollar goes toward it.I’m really interested in the water project. It teaches me a lot of new things.I hope other schools are interested. It’s fun to help solve world problems. The Water Project. Solving dirty water problems.

Project Water's Progress

My class and I met a nice man named James.
He lives in Kenya.
James’ tribe and lots others don’t have clean water to drink.
That’s why the water project, my class, and 3 others are raising money to build a well.
I want to help as many people as I can and build as many wells as we can.
I think it is realy fun.

Here are the requirements:
  • You have to want to help.

–Warbeak

love the Water Project!  I liked how we got to experiment with our own water filters and practise teamwork.  I also liked it when Mr. James came to visit.  It is so sad how the children in Africa don’t have access to clean water.  I can’t wait to start selling duct tape products on Etsy to donate money to make wells for Africans… it feels good to help!!
